Blaauwklippen is one of the Western Cape wine region’s oldest and most respected wine farms and also strives to be one of its friendliest and most welcoming.

Inspired by the past, passionate about our future. That’s our estate mantra and we believe it because it’s true. Blaauwklippen is one of the oldest working wine farms in South Africa, so you can just imagine the stories our land could tell – like the fact that the estate was even owned by Cecil John Rhodes, if only for a day. All the buildings are original but beautifully restored, including the Carriage Museum, which houses our collection of antique carriages – we’ll offer you a ride, if you like.

Blaauwklippen Vineyards prides itself in serving up traditional South African and European-style cuisine at the Barouche Restaurant. The dishes are prepared using only the freshest ingredients to complement the wines. Its country charm and beauty also makes the estate popular for weddings and other special events, with the picturesque lawn in front of the 18th century Manor House an ideal venue for group functions and weddings.

We will be happy to organize everything, from the wedding decorations to the wedding menu, so that you can relax and enjoy this very special day to the fullest.

You tell us how many guests you are expecting, and our experienced staff will create the wedding celebration you have always wanted. We are also happy to organize an “open-air” wedding celebration on the romantic grounds of our lovely manor house.

Enjoy this memorable celebration set against a spectacular backdrop and allow us to spoil you. This includes, of course, our exquisite wines.

There are many romantic locations to choose from at Blaauwklippen to get married. In the warm spring and summer months exchange vows on the lush lawns of the estate, set between age old trees and beautiful Cape Dutch buildings. Set up a stylish free form tent for your reception or move on to the award winning restaurant, which is transformed into a dream reception venue. Blaauwklippen Wine Estate offers outstanding wedding venue facilities with six individual rooms to choose from, accommodating between 8 to 100 guests and up to 600 guests outside.
