Michelle and Nick
Michelle and Nick[three_fifth] [dropcap color=”rosy”]T[/dropcap]he man of my dreams (Nicholas Daniel Martin) booked us a holiday, at the time the destination was unknown to me (Michelle Rae Hoffman). We departed on our road trip 2:00am the morning of the 17’th, December 2012. After many games of eye spy and me trying to guess where we were headed, 12 hours later – we arrived at the beautiful, secluded town of Port St Johns on the Wild Coast. We drove to our guest house and off loaded all our luggage and then headed straight out again to go and explore the little town and find a place to munch something. Just past 2’nd beach we found a restaurant (Delicious Monster) that looked very interesting, so we decided that this was going to be our first visit in Port St Johns and little did I know, the place that would mark and remind me forever more of the single most special day I have experienced my entire life…
At first we were sitting inside, but Nick organised that as soon as a table became available on the deck that we move there. :- Please see attached photo of where we sat and the breath taking view we experienced. As our burgers came I grabbed the tomato sauce and wanted to smother my chips, at that time Nick took the tomato sauce bottle from me and placed it on the table and asked me “just wait a second my baby”, my reply was “what am I waiting for?”. Nick pushed the table away from us and got down on his knee and took my hand. OMGosh – my eyes started filling up with tears and it felt as if time has stood still for ages. “Baby, I can’t explain to you how much I love you, but I can show you every day for the rest of my life. I want us forever and ever,” then his eyes started to fill with tears and he was shaking. “My angel, please will you marry me and be my wife? I don’t have a ring as I did not plan this, but this spot is absolutely perfect and I can’t wait any longer.” I replied “of course I will, yes, yes, yes – the ring doesn’t matter my angel”, and he said “I love you”.
He cried, I cried and the manager that watched the entire proposal then brought us 2 shooters all done up pretty on a plate. Nick then phoned his mom (still in tears) and told her that she was going to inherit the most amazing daughter-in-law.
We have only been together for 9 months, our anniversary is the 1’st of June – but we are definitely soul mates and now that I have met him, I couldn’t imagine life without him.
Thank you for taking time to read through the most romantic proposal of all time!
