About Us

Casalinga was built by Jenny and Peter De Luca in 1989 as an extension of their home in Muldersdrift. Situated on the outskirts of Randburg, Casalinga overlooks the rolling hills of the Magaliesburg. The Restaurant was constructed from sections of demolished houses from the Randfontein Gold Mine estates and the aged wood, stained glass windows and rich décor transport one back to a more revered and relaxed era. The beautiful gardens and the home grown produce make this a true country restaurant.

One of Casalinga’s most appealing features is its luxurious country ambiance achieved through the architecture of its buildings, the colourful décor and masses of fresh flowers which decorate all the rooms.

Your Wedding

Our gardens provide the perfect backdrop for your photographs, with the lawns rolling up to a majestic stand of pine trees. The restaurant is in a typical country setting and will welcome you and your guests from the moment you arrive.

We welcome all our brides to get married in our newly built chapel. We will dress the chapel with four large flower arrangements, rose petals and candles.

We also have a beautiful gazebo as an alternative venue for your ceremony.

Our staff will be available during the planning stage to advise you on the best location in which to accommodate your guests. This will also include seating plans, music, dancing and entertainment. Our in-house florist is available to produce arrangements and other floral decor.

In total, we offer you five different dining areas, most of which can be interlinked. Seating a minimum of sixteen people in our intimate Casa Vino we can accommodate up to two hundred and twenty guests in the remaining four adjoining rooms.
