Collisheen Estate
Take a step back in time into the land of the pioneers of early Natal and experience the peace and tranquility offered on an original sugar estate. The estate was established nearly a century ago by it's founders Douglas Liege and Zillah Hulett. After a trip to Ireland they decided to name the estate "Collisheen" in memory of a town they had visited and enjoyed. Through the years they ran Collisheen as a cattle farm, dairy, timber plantation and of course a sugar estate. The next generation, Neil and Morag Hulett, who took over the farming operation after Douglas' untimely death, set and broke numerous world records in their quest to successfully breed and raise the previously very endangered cheetah in captivity. Set amongst magnificent old trees the estate offers a private function facility that is exclusively yours for your special day. Panoramic views of undulating sugar fields are complemented by the warm "family" hospitality of the staff at the estate.   Thirty minutes from central Durban and an arms length from Ballito, Collisheen offers a perfect venue for conferences, meetings and corporate training.

 

 

 

Weddings at Collisheen
Collisheen offers a perfect wedding venue with a bridal salon, chapel, full reception facilities, picturesque gardens, water feature, and extensive parking.   Collisheen has two conference facilities that can accommodate between 10 and 400 delegates depending on the seating configuration and is perfectly situated for your wedding.  Our chapel, complete with private garden, and our extensive functions room, bridal salon and outdoor arena with water feature and landscaped gardens are the perfect venue for an intimate and stylish wedding.  Collisheen has a B&B on the premises and is close to an extensive range of accommodation, from luxury country hotels to bed and breakfasts and self-catering facilities should your guests want to stay over.

 

 

COLLISHEEN ESTATE WEDDING PACKAGE (2007 / 2008)  The Following Are Included:   A Private Venue - We ensure that there will be no other function at the venue on the day of your wedding Catering - Our chefs will prepare a delicious meal for you Chapel - Includes an alter cloth & kneeling cushion Setting up, Clearing & Cleaning of the Venue - We will set up, clear & clean the venue for you Tables & Linens - We will supply 10 seater round tables for your guests, your bridal, cake, DJ and gift tables. All with white table cloths and white linen napkins.
