Rosemary Hill Weddings
Rosemary Hill is a beautiful farm just east of Pretoria. We have been farming organically and bio-dynamically since 1978 and we are one of the biggest producers of Rosemary oil in South Africa. In addition to the farming, we have 33km of trails that meander through the farm. Our objective is to provide an opportunity for all your friends and family to share a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of city life. With our extensive accommodation, everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the farm-life, fresh organic food and all the activities on offer for example renting a mountain bike or going for treetop adventures/ ziplining down in the forest.
What sets us apart from other wedding venues is that
- We only host one wedding per weekend!
- You get the day before your wedding for set up and décor – no last minute rushing that causes unnecessary stress.
- We include décor for you to choose from, just come and browse through our warehouse to pick and choose what you would like to use.
- Our dedicated and passionate staff spend hours making your beautiful confetti and flower carpet by hand! They use seasonal fresh and dried flowers and herbs from the farm.
- We include a beautiful Suite for your convenience the night before, as well as the night of the wedding.
Each wedding is set up from scratch using the unique facilities that we have available:
The Living Chapel: Imagine a chapel made out of fragrant Jasmine and other lovely vines! This beautiful chapel is located inside a 2-hectare garden consisting of Rosemary, Lavender, Rose Geranium, Olive Trees, Lemon Trees, Pomegranate Trees and many more. It can seat 120 guests on benches. Additional seating on the grass terrace. The chapel has a translucent roof to provide shelter in the event of rain, and together with the plants, creates a cool natural atmosphere.
The Pavilion: Located at the centre of our formal garden, this open sided structure provides 360-degree views of the beautiful maze which is home to over 2000 plants. It is the ideal space for your guests to enjoy sunset canapés while you are on your photoshoot.
The Barn: This authentic wooden structure was built in the late 80’s to house an entrepreneurs’ market. It was later enclosed and used as a store for the farm. Today we use it to seat up to 250 guests for a wedding ceremony, or it can seat up to 120 guests for a wedding reception.
The Packhouse: Our old vegetable processing facility is very spacious with high ceilings and can be used for wedding receptions of up to 250 guests. It has an industrial feel.
Why limit your wedding to one day, when you can make your wedding a weekend celebration? Create an event for the different families to get to know each other, where people can reconnect and new friendships can ignite. We have a variety of housing options to tailor to your needs. We also offer an array of activities for young and old, making your wedding an experience that your guests will remember with fondness and gratitude.
There are complete houses available, loft apartments and hideaways too. We can accommodate over 90 guests on the farm. Once you and your guests arrive, we have a range of activities and experiences to maximise your stay. Your wedding coordinator will discuss the elements described with you in detail upon request.

The last room is a luxurious Suite with a King-size Four poster bed and cosy fireplace. It also boasts two en-suite bathrooms with showers and a free-standing bath overlooking a private garden.
