Set in 40 acres of pastureland, the original family homestead built in 1912 has been restored to its full Victorian/Edwardian splendour by your hosts, Mike Macnab and Lynne Holding.

		Wedding receptions to remember! French doors opening onto the surrounding paddock make this centre ideal for large and small wedding receptions in fabulous country garden surroundings.    We offer a fully inclusive wedding reception package that attends to every detail and your every need.   Wedding ceremonies are easily arranged at nearby chapels and churches (just a few minutes away) including the the famous Michaelhouse Chapel. Five hundred metres from Lastingham is the St Matthews Country Church which caters for up to 100 guests for those brides wishing for a church service. Otherwise have your celebration in our beautiful gardens or on the verandah. Our wedding reception venue is only four and a half hours from Johannesburg and an hour and a quarter from Durban in the heart of the scenic Natal Midlands. The Lastingham wedding venue has nine luxury double suites (as rated by Portfolio) for immediate family and friends. Nearby there is ample accomodation in local B&B's, Guest houses and Lodges.

Accommodation
Lastingham Guest Lodge offers year round traditional South African hospitality.   Scattered around the house in the lush gardens overlooking a dam, are individually appointed luxurious ensuite rooms, designed by Lynne drawing on her 14 years experience as an interior designer. The Lastingham breakfasts really put the word   breakfast into "B&B"!  The large drawing room features a huge brick fireplace and a honesty bar. In winter this is a perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine, and mull over the day's meander or engage in some lively discussion. Country hospitality means you don't have to drive anywhere to find dinner, here you can enjoy some of Lynne and Mikes' renowned cuisine. Our very private honeymoon suite, decorated in relish green, features a jacuzzi bath, a fireplace, large lounge and a scenic view of the Caversham Valley. The honeymoon suites are in a wonderful country garden setting with views of pastures and rolling hills.
