The Lodge
Lukimbi Lodge is the perfect choice for your safari wedding. It is easily accessible as it is situated in the southern part of the Kruger National Park, close to the International Airport in Mpumalanga, and the excellent road system from Gauteng via Nelspruit. Your Lukimbi wedding would be an unforgettable experience both for you and your guests, whether you plan celebrate your wedding with just the two of you, or with your family and friends. The Kruger National Park is a Big Five destination offering a wide variety of animals and birds. At Lukimbi we have exclusive use of over 15 000 hectares of prime game areas with our own private roads. Our professional rangers take guests in open Landrovers on game drives or game walks ensuring memorable game viewing and photo opportunities. Our communal, social areas are decorated to a very high standard of luxury with a stunning outlook over the river. Our fourteen spacious suites are linked with a wooden walkway and are luxuriously appointed. Each has a private deck overlooking the river. We have two special honeymoon suites, The Giant Eagle Owl Suite and the King Cheetah Suite, each with their own private pool and second bathroom. For your Lukimbi wedding, the bridal couple would occupy one of these suites and would designate the other one to friends or family.

Weddings at Lukimbi
For your wedding ceremony at Lukimbi we have a choice of two venues. We have a charming, thatched chapel near the lodge that is light and airy with ceiling fans to keep everyone cool. Its simple and stylish decor does not detract from the beautiful surroundings. After the formal ceremony we drive the wedding party and guests out to the Jackalberry Tree. While your guests enjoy drinks and snacks, the wedding party can have photographs taken. You may like to be serenaded by an African Choir to add to the atmosphere.  The other alternative is to have the ceremony under the Jackalberry Tree itself. The bridal party would be driven to the site in a Landrover which is a unique way of making your appearance.  We advise the chapel ceremony in the summer as it can get rather warm for guests who would be in the sun during the ceremony at the Jackalberry Tree. Your Wedding Banquet or Reception at Lukimbi can either be held in the Boma or on the Deck overlooking the river. For an evening reception we recommend the Boma. It will be lit up with bonfires, hanging lanterns and candles to create a romantic, unforgettable atmosphere. Alternatively you can have your Reception on the Deck if the weather is inclement. We will make sure that it looks as beautiful and romantic as your Lukimbi Wedding should be! We are able to assist you with the organisation of your entire wedding from the formalities of the legal side to the other services you require. We can recommend service providers in the area for flowers, wedding cake, photographer, videographer and DJ. Our professional planners will ensure that your wedding day is stress free and perfect. For weddings of 2 to 8 guests, you are not required to book out the entire lodge, but your wedding activities will be private. For larger weddings of up to 32 people the entire lodge will be for your exclusive use and we require that the lodge is reserved for a minimum of 2 days. We can assist with off-site accommodation if the wedding is larger than 32 people.

Accommodation
Lukimbi Lodge is situated overlooking a river and the main buildings are linked together with open wooden decks making the most of the view of the banks of the river. The lodge features carved plaster panels showing intricate African patterns and mythical creatures. The interior design combines colours and specially created pieces artistically and imaginatively. There is something different and interesting to look at around every corner. Lukimbi is a photographers' delight, both inside the surrounds of the lodge and out in the bush!

		A raised wooden walkway leads the guests to the 16 spacious suites. The interior decor combines modern African with luxury. Each suite has a private deck with a view overlooking the river providing a private place to relax and unwind in peace. Each suite has a luxury bathroom overlooking the river, and an outside shower. All suites are air-conditioned, have fans, safes, mini bars as well as tea and coffee facilities. The ultra-luxurious Giant Eagle Owl Suite and King Cheetah Suite have their own private pool, diningroom and second bathroom.
