Your Wedding

Since 1991, this award-winning venue has led the industry with brilliant ideas, outstanding cuisine and superior service. This historic old farm enjoys a compelling sense of timeless beauty, typical of a bygone era when people had time for one another.

The Oakfield Chapel

Set amongst Cottonwood trees on the edge of the forest, The Oakfield Chapel offers an intimate setting for your service. The Chapel is consecrated and can seat up to 160 guests.

Railway sleeper pews, wrought iron chandeliers and stained glass windows provide an atmosphere of rustic elegance, synonymous to Oakfield Farm.

The bridge in the forest leading to the Chapel is the perfect backdrop for group photographs after your service.

The Conservatory

The Conservatory is another option for your wedding ceremony. The original “Orchid House” has been redesigned, creating a setting unique to Oakfield Farm. The Conservatory can seat up to 300 guests and is ideal for larger services or Chuppas.

It is a versatile setting in that it allows you the opportunity to have your service amidst the guests or traditionally at the altar. The horse-drawn carriage is able to drive through the Conservatory making for a spectacular grand entrance for the bride and her retinue.

Your Reception

Summerhouse

The light spilling through glass gable ends onto the old- fashioned scissor beams make this a stunning venue for your reception. In fine weather, the specially designed recess doors open onto the garden on three sides to create the feeling that you are well and truly in the country surrounded by English country gardens. Extensive use of wood, chandeliers filled with candles and two attractive fireplaces provide a cosy and intimate atmosphere in the colder months. A bonfire will be lit outdoors for added warmth of atmosphere.

The architecture of the Summer House enables a wide range of floor plans to be used. Functions of 30 guests for an intimate wedding will feel comfortable as will a gracious function of 140 guests if the verandahs are used.

The attractive bandstand-style Gazebo is popular for the serving of pre reception cocktails and the occasional garden wedding service.

Homestead

The Homestead, originally the old barn, has recently been extended to accommodate up to 400 guests. Bay windows, expansive verandahs and the original deck overlook the “Zevenfontein” spring, indigenous woodlands and nature reserve – an eden in the greater metropolis. A maze of candles and elegant table settings create a stately atmosphere, ideal for a more formal wedding.

The versatility in design of this venue allows for a wide range of floorplan options. The venue may be divided into smaller areas and the verandahs may be used for trendy “cigar lounges”. A wooden dance floor is built in for evening weddings.

The Wedding Package

Oakfield Farm is known for innovative ideas and a large selection of décor options to personalise your function. All the most popular options have been combined into our “Wedding Package” Should you require only some of these options, these can be selected individually.

The Bridal Dressing Suite

Dressing on the big day is as much as a part of the wedding as the reception itself. The Bridal Dressing Suite has been specially appointed to accommodate the bridal retinue, including the hairdresser and make up artist. the suite is available from 09h00 and allows you to give your photographer the time and opportunity for stunning photographs

Carriage – Sugar and Ramble, our resident Welsh Mountain Ponies, draw our carriage. Arrive at your service in style, reminiscent of yesteryear OR you may prefer to depart in style after your service, sipping sparkling wine to celebrate your nuptials. Please note that the availability may be determined by the starting time of your function.
