Come and celebrate your wedding with your loved ones on the gentle bend of the Luvuvhu River at Pafuri Camp. The camp is situated in one of the most remote and pristine areas of the Kruger National Park.
You have various options to choose from concerning your safari wedding. We want to help you tailor your wedding to suit your needs and create an experience to exceed your wildest romantic expectations.
Ceremony
There are various options for the ceremony but we recommended one of the following:
Under a Tree Canopy - Levuvhu East / Twin Baobabs - Levuvhu West
When the intense heat of the day starts to subside, wedding guests will gather on the main deck of the lodge where they will be met by the Pafuri guides who will then transfer them to a clearing under the shade of some Appleleafs and Nyala Trees or to a magestical site where two Baobabs catch the suns last rays of the day.
At the site, the guests will be met by the Pafuri Choir, dressed in traditional Shangaan clothes. The choir will entertain the guests with their dancing and singing to set the mood for an unforgettable evening!
Vows will be exchanged under the big overhanging branches of a Nyala Tree when choosing ceremony site 1. Otherwise it will be exchanged under the interlinking branches of the Twin Baobabs. As the sun starts to disappear behind the trees and the shadows start to getlonger, guests are invited to toast the new couple on the start of their new life together. At site 1, the sundowners and snacks will be enjoyed at the same place where the ceremony took place. At site 2, the sundowners and snacks will be served on the banks of the Levuvhu River at the Mangala Picnic Site.
Wedding Banquet
After the ceremony and sundowner cocktails, guests are invited to come and celebrate the wedding by attending the Wedding Banquet which will be held on the main deck of the camp. The main deck will be covered with lanterns, candles and fairy lights, to set a romantic mood for the evening. Table décor are done according to the theme of the evening and are made up in the choice of colours of the bridal couple.
Flower arrangements of their choice will be on each table, whether it is single flowers in vases or a flower arrangement as centrepiece. We will arrange for a seating plan according to the bridal couple’s wishes, accompanied by name place-tags at each table.
Menus will be printed and placed on each table. The bride may bring her own wedding favors or this can be supplied by the camp. Possible ideas on wedding favors that we can provide (costs on request):
• Organza Bag with Baobab Oil
• Framed Photograph
• Ilala Herb Basket Filled with Bath Salt
• Music CD with the newly weds photo and favour music on.
• Long stemmed rose on their pillows with a thank you note.
