About Us
The well known Paternoster Hotel is situated on the West Coast of South Africa in the picturesque fishing village of Paternoster , only 145km north of Cape Town. The original building was built in 1863 by the community with limestone from the area. In those days it served as a ‘mall’ with a clothing store, jail/holding cell, entertainment (snooker tables). The present dining room was used for dances and church services and the function hall was an open area used by the local farmers to store their corn. Paternoster Hotel can be your ideal wedding venue.  Why not turn the occasion into a weekend with family and friends gathering together.  We have indoor and outdoor braai facilities for your use on the Friday night for the pre-wedding party!   Venue We can accommodate 150 guests with a spacious dance floor in our function hall. We also have a separate restaurant/dining room for smaller weddings/day weddings that can seat up to 60 people.  Included in the above are: All tables & chairs – round tables on request Cutlery & crockery Cleaning of venue after wedding Fees for Barmen and or waitrons – excl tips Today 34 years later Johan and his son Giorello are still the proud owners of the Hotel. The Hotel is a 2 minute walk from the beach and offers 10 en suite rooms, self catering houses, a pub (The Panty Bar) and a restaurant famous for it’s seafood especially crayfish). The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly with a personal touch and lots of olden day charm.

 

		Weddings
		Ceremony All options within walking distance from Paternoster Hotel A beautiful beach wedding is ideal and very romantic... weather permitting. Paternoster also has a beautiful Anglican church that can be hired at an additional cost. The hotel also has a large lawn/garden under a huge old RUBBER tree that can easily be transformed into a lovely setting free of charge. Services offered Each quote is worked out individually to suit every guests taste and budget. We, together with our co-ordinater can do all the arrangements so that your most beautiful day is complication free. We can arrange/do all of the following and more: - All décor – variety of the all the latest trends - All flowers - Different menu options – We regret no buffets – we provide a list of dishes from which you   can choose. - Welcome drinks/snacks - Table numbers, Guest lists, Menu’s - Table gifts for your guests - Wine and sparkling wines – R 20.00 p. bottle cork fee should you provide your own - Cash/Open bar We can give advice on the following: - Church / Beach/ Hotel garden ceremonies - Hair & Make up consultants - DJ’s/Bands NO WEDDINGS 16 DECEMBER TO 11 JANUARY EVERY YEAR.

 

Accommodation
Special tariffs for guests will apply should you book all the accommodation in the hotel. Sea facing rooms : R 330.00 p.p. per night incl breakfast Non sea facing rooms : R 250.00 p.p. per night incl breakfast Honeymoon couples receive the Saturday night with compliments in our Honeymoon suite. We will also add a bottle of Sparkling wine, flowers and chocolates.
