Royal Palm

The flagship of the Mauritian-owned Beachcomber Hotels Group and the grande dame of Mauritian hotels, this six-star exudes class, hauteur and stateliness. The oriental ambiance is captivated by the Indian decor and interior furnishings. The Royal Palm boasts gardens that are magnificently manicured. The understated architecture is concealed by tall swaying palm trees. Service at the Royal Palm is exemplary, and sets the bench mark on an international level. The location of the swimming pool deters from its rather modest size. The warm Indian Ocean is home to an abundance of sea dwelling creatures, and sets the scene for some of the most magnificent diving this side of the world.

The Royal Palm is the perfect hideaway for honeymoon couples who enjoy the finer things in life. A rare palace of privileges, The Royal Palm is unequalled in Mauritius and is truly a leading hotel of the world.
The dining experience at the Royal Palm is always a black-tie affair. There are two restaurants, one serving gourmet French-Mauritian cooking, with an emphasis on local ingredients: unfamiliar vegetables such as fresh palm hearts (referred to poetically as ivoire végétale), the green-leaf pat-saï and chou-chou (or christophenes); firm-fleshed tropical fish such as berry and sacréchien; and local meats including Java deer and boar. The other is a fusion venture, specialising in lighter, lower-calorie dishes. There's also a chic lunchtime beach restaurant, which is a great place for people-watching.
Gourmet cuisine coupled with world class service have definitely made the Royal Palm a true undiscovered gem of the Indian Ocean.
