The Outpost
The Outpost is a concession that lies in the vast wilderness area that makes up the northernmost part of Kruger National Park. This region is called the Makuleke Region, is bordered to the north by the Limpopo River and Zimbabwe and to the east by Crooks Corner and Mozambique. The area is unspoilt and remote; an ideal venue for a romantic safari wedding to remember! Your Wedding at The Outpost
The Outpost provides an ideal location for your intimate safari wedding in our African Wilderness. There are a number of beautiful areas within the concession from which you can choose the perfect location for your ceremony.  We would be happy to advise you on some of these.  We can arrange all aspects of your wedding including legal requirements, ministers, photographers, flowers, choirs and the like which leaves you free and relaxed to enjoy your wedding day with your family and friends. Your wedding reception or banquet can be held on the deck at the Lodge overlooking the river. Alternatively we can set up a very special bush banquet complete with a beautifully laid out table surrounded by romantic lanterns. We will be very happy to discuss your personal requirements with you, and to offer our advice to assist with making your wedding day the most memorable day of your life.

 

Accommodation Acclaimed Italian born architect Enrico Daffonchio designed The Outpost. Using simple, clean lines and combining elements of steel and canvas the unashamedly contemporary design of The Outpost emphasizes its beautiful surrounds but blends and preserves the wilderness that is its home.		Guests are accommodated in 12 stand- alone en suite living space that are placed alongside a walkway on the side of a hill overlooking the Luvuvhu River. The Spaces are of contemporary design with retractable canvas screens and frontage offering a 180-degree views of the Luvuvhu River Valley. The open feel of the rooms is extended into the full bathroom with concrete bath and open shower and a view extending as far as Mozambique

 

Bush Cuisine Notwithstanding its remote location, The Outpost strives to provide excellent cuisine. The style of food reflects its African surroundings. Care is taken to source the best produce whether available locally or whether it is flown in fresh from Johannesburg. The Outpost offers a variety of places to dine. Breakfast is served under cover in the dining area in the main building with views of the Luvuvhu River Valley. Lunch is either served in the dining area or a picnic lunch is prepared and served out on safari at the riverside or under the Baobabs. Dinner is either eaten in the enclosed courtyard under the stars or on the deck next to the pool.
