Wedding Food – Canapé Ideas
Who doesn’t love a good canapé? I must say that it is the wedding food that I most look forward to. What’s better than a choice of delicious bite size snacks, served with sparkling wine or a cocktail? Nothing!
So what kind of canapés are you going to be serving at your wedding? Wedding venues sometimes offer only a limited choice of canapes that sound really boring. Why not try and serve something a little bit different? Something that will get your guests talking? Something that is memorable?
Here are some of the great wedding canapé ideas we found:
Toasted sourdough with avocado, radish and watercress canapés
How delicious do these toasted sourdough with avo, radish and watercress look? It is a modern take on the usual bruschetta and it looks so fresh and yummy! This would be perfect to serve at a outside summer wedding with a glass of bubbly! You can find the recipe for this canapé on the Achica Living website.
Hamburger canapés
I love the idea of serving miniature hamburger canapés at a wedding and I have a feeling that guests will too! Who doesn’t love a good hamburger? You can mix things up by putting your favourite topping on the burger, or by putting the pickle on top.
Caprese salad on crostini
Turning a caprese salad into a bite size morsel is such a good idea! Add basil or coriander pesto for extra flavour.
Fish and chips in paper cones
Fish and chips are such a cool idea, especially for a beach wedding. I love the way that that this caterer has packaged the canapés in newspaper. You could also serve calamari and chips.
Crostini with Caramelized Onions, Melted Cheese & Sage
My goodness these look good! I love the idea of adding herbs to give the canapé an extra bit of flavour. Sage is an awesome, extremely tasty herb that would compliment this plain crostini perfectly. You could also create different tastes with different cheeses.
