Buffelsdrift Game Lodge Wedding Venue – Unique, understated elegance in luxury tent accommodation that is Buffelsdrift Game Lodge. With mountains as backdrop and a magnificent waterhole at your doorstep, it’s the closest you’ll get to the wild of the Klein Karoo. We are situated in the malaria free Garden Route on the Oudtshoorn road.
Just off the famous Route 62, Buffelsdrift Game Lodge offers you an escape to something spectacular. Experience an array of wildlife including elephants, rhino, Cape Buffalo, giraffe, hippo and over 200 bird species. Just a stone’s throw away is attractions such as the culture-rich town of Oudtshoorn, the Swartberg Mountain Nature Reserve, the Cango Caves and the Gamaskloof Valley (“Die Hell”).

This Bush Wedding venue, is unique for its setting, breathtaking views of the Swartberg vast Klein Karoo plains and blue skies become a natural backdrop – a photographer’s dream to capture the special moments for the bride and groom to remember and to treasure. The Karoo Wedding Chapel is situated on the edge of a natural water hole with a wide wooden deck as entrance to the intimate little chapel. The deck is an extension to the restaurant and this creates a beautiful space for wedding guests to take their seats and witness the couple exchanging their wedding vows.
Ice-cold sundowners served on the lookout deck next to the open-air bar mark the end of a perfect day with the sun setting over the mountains. Each wedding is unique and we make each one an unforgettable experience for both you and your guests.

Buffelsdrift Game Lodge Accommodation
At Buffelsdrift Game Lodge our accommodation comprises of 25-tented units. Each has its own wooden deck where guests can relax, admire the view and spot the game. Guests have a choice of Superior or Luxury accommodation. Waterfront Luxury (9) – situated on the waters edge with a wooden sundeck overlooking the dam. Fully en-suite bathrooms with a private outdoor shower with hot & cold water. The tent is equipped with a dual air-conditioning unit to cool you on those hot summer Karoo days & warmth on those chilly winter days.
