The Venue is the biggest events hall on the premises and can host up to 350 guests, making it one of the most spacious locations in the Winelands. Notwithstanding its size, it is a warm and inviting space with soft, romantic lighting and stunning views of the rural surrounds.

For an intimate summer wedding, look no further than Franschhoek Cellar’s lush landscaped garden, which has seating for up to 150 guests. Next to the garden is The Platform, an old railway platform that has been beautifully remodelled to mimic a train carriage. This atmospheric building has room for 80 guests and is perfect for smaller celebrations or pre-drinks.

If you’ve got your eye on a small wedding with a secluded country-feel, The Lapa at Franschhoek Cellar is the perfect venue for you. It is a completely private space that can accommodate between 20 and 30 people, with a thatched boma perfect for a braai and relaxed outdoor fiesta.

Completing the fantastic line-up of wedding venues at Franschhoek Cellar is Mountain View, a double storey setting with space for 60-70 people that has a barrel cellar and comfortable lounge with a bar, kitchen and breathtaking mountain vistas.

Included in the venue charge are the use of rectangular (6 seats) or round (6-8 seats) tables, white tiffany chairs, white tablecloths, white overlays and napkins (stone overlays and napkins also available), silver cutlery, porcelain crockery, crystal glassware and the services of bar staff and waiters. Couples can also choose from an extensive wine-list for their big day which is explained during a complimentary guided tasting. They can also meet with the executive chef to design a wedding menu that is tailor-made to their specific requirements.
